Ye Have Not Because Ye Ask Not, Ye receive Not Because…

I’m reminded of what James said:  Ye have not because ye ask not… ye receive not because ye ask amiss… too consume it upon your own lusts. Christ commanded: Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and then all these things shall be added unto you… What things? Those things necessary and prudent for life and Godliness. (James 4:3 & Mat 6:24-34)

No man can serve two masters… ye can not serve God and mammon.   Christ said: take therefore no thought for the morrow, for it shall take thought for the things of itself (worldly things). Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof… thoughts of the world often lead us captive… to be caught up in the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches. See: (James 4:3 & Mat 13:22)

Christ taught His disciples not to take care for the things in this world… bread, clothing, shelter, riches, etc…  For God would give them the things necessary for life and His purposes in the earth…  Likewise, when we ask God for His help our requests should be focused on Kingdom things… Not on the cares of this world, or the lusts of our flesh. We often have not or receive not… because we ask improperly (amiss), to consume it upon our own lusts and desire… rather than, upon God’s purpose and plans for our lives.
Let us insure that we have our priorities in order when we ask of God… Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and then all those things will be added unto thee.  What things… those things necessary for life and to serve the Kingdom of God.  For, the Kingdom of God is not meat nor drink… It is love, joy, peace and righteousness in the Spirit. It transcends the physical world, opening up to endless possibilities, in the Spirit realm.  We are not flesh and blood. We are spirit, born again… the children of God… the Father of spirits.
Do not become discouraged because of your physical condition… It is possible… Yea, it is God’s will, that we prosper in whatever physical condition we find ourselves.  Paul rejoiced both in bonds and out… in tribulation and in glory… He knew and understood that his physical condition was not to become a measure of his spiritual glory… For the kingdom of God is not meat nor drink.  Let us be as Paul… and live in Christ… in the anointing, in the Spirit of God.  For there, we have our eternal abode and calling in God  Amen.
